About Data Vault

Data Vault is a architecture methodology designed to provide long-term historical storage of data coming in from multiple operational systems. It is designed to be resilient to change, highly adaptable, and scalable.

Key components of the Data Vault methodology include:

  • Hubs: Business keys that uniquely identify business objects
  • Links: Relationships between business objects
  • Satellites: Descriptive attributes associated with hubs or links

The Data Vault North American User Group (DVNAUG) brings together practitioners, architects, and data enthusiasts to share knowledge and advance the implementation of the Data Vault methodology.
